North Beaches Art Walk<\/a>

North Beaches Artwalk is a free event held the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 9 pm. Featuring many local visual artists and live performers. Artwalk is held at the Atlantic Beach & Neptune Beach Town Centers.\u00a0 Also at Adele Grage Cultural Center with a different featured artist every month.<\/p>\n

With over 55 participating artists, Artwalk is a diverse art destination & shopping experience for the entire family. Local venues set the backdrop for this great monthly destination and community gathering. The overall mission of Art Walk is to expose the community to the vast number of local artists right here at the Beaches and we thank all the local shops & restaurants for making it possible!\u00a0 We welcome talent from all over Jacksonville to join North Beaches Art Walk.\u00a0 Always a great time….come see what’s going on at Artwalk!<\/p>\n

Speak Dog<\/a>

Being able to interpret and understand what your dog is saying with their body language is a vital skill for all dog lovers, but it is especially important for therapy animal handlers. It leads to a deeper relationship and enables handlers to manage their dog’s interactions while volunteering. This seminar aims to teach canine communication basics. There will be a chance to ask questions and the environment will be friendly, informal and relaxed.<\/p>\n

Light refreshments will be served. Please, humans only for this event.<\/p>\n

Admission is free, but people planning to attend are asked to make a reservation.<\/p>\n

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration<\/a>

In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.\u2019s legacy of peace, you are invited to enjoy special open hours and programming at the Cummer Museum. Enjoy educational art-making activities, live music in the Cummer Caf\u00e9, and an Ecumenical Prayer for Peace with local faith leaders in partnership with OneJax. In addition, Museum Educators will be making art with participants at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.\u00a0Memorial Foundation MLK Day Celebration at the Ritz Theatre and Museum, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trolley transportation between the Cummer Museum and Ritz Theatre and Museum will be available from noon to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
